CHIPMUNKS

When writing my book, I decided not to waste a page on chipmunks since I talked about them on every radio program two or three times. Boy what a mistake!! Nobody remembers what was said. So here it is:

Buy a can of RO-DEX and a ten foot section of thin wall plastic pipe four inches in diameter. Cut the pipe into five pieces, each two foot long.   By the way, you usually only need 1 or 2 bait stations so you might be able to get enough for free from a contractor building a house near you, give it a try, worked for me.  These will be used as bait stations, so as not to kill anything except the rodents. Mix two tablespoons of RO-DEX in a cup of peanut butter.  If you can't get RO-DEX, use cooking oil and DEACON.   Just make a soft dough and follow the instructions as with RO-DEX.   Place a gob the size of a walnut in the center of each bait station and set them in secluded areas around your property. Wait six or seven days, then check the stations. If the bait is gone replace it. If they are eating it, but some remains, leave it alone. If they haven't touched it, move the station to a new location. You will not find dead chipmunks everywhere, they go home to lay down and then die. DO NOT USE THIS BAIT WITHOUT THE BAIT STATIONS, IT IS DEADLY!!!   If you have a problem buying RO-DEX ask the store mgr. or owner if they buy from Wetzel Distributors.  If the answer is yes, they can order it for you, if the answer is no, e-mail me with you state and city and I might be able to help.

A tablespoon full of lye in every hole you can find, goes a long way toward eliminating these pests, provided you can get it in far enough so the rain doesn't wash it away.
